Long time clients and commissioners, the Phillips family at Avalon NSW have initiated another ring discussion – “Hey Barbara, Hi and I hope all is well. Well number 2 daughter is turning 21 on 7th September and I wondered it you would be interested in creating a ring for her. We have another old ring with some diamonds in it from Garry’s mother and a small ruby which Garry bought home from one of his trips. This daughter (and there are 2 more after this) is tall, blond and strong, physically and personality, a little loud and a bit quirky (if that is the word). She is at Uni doing nursing/arts and loves fashion. She is actually her grandmother reincarnated (I’m sure, never wrong, slams car doors, an off beat sense of humour). Please let me know what you think. Cheers Flick”
Short time frame, I send down overnight a plastic finger measurer which comes back size-locked with the gem and the old ring as a concept starter. We quickly review and send sketches, most designs will exceed the budget allocated but Barbara pushes on knowing it will end up right for the family.
