Noel Frankham opened the show with his usual ‘informed frankness’ . . . we have known him for ages now and his warm words touched many hearts. Supper later at the Dopson’s residence was also warm and cheery. Last weekend’s Mercury had well researched full page article on Barbara and her ‘midlands lepidoptera’ work penned by Stephanie Eslake. We both spent time with Warwick Oakman in Hobart, our house at Tunbridge and a super lunch up at the Interlaken Estate with Libby  and her guests. More work at Tunbridge with best buddies; Allan Cooper and Grattan Whitney. One trip to the Central Highlands to visit the Pine Lake and the 1000 year old pencil pines (-3 degrees that day).
