Blogroll and jeweller to the lost - commisions

This commission involved his fiancé’s best friend, our long-time friend and ex-retailer in Perth, Michael himself, his Dad as catcher for the finished ring and Barbara/Juan-Luis and mal E, as I managed the process and set up the gem selection to match the budget and brief. A few nights spent scanning this blog for styles, emails, requests for a gem selection to be sent and finally a design and quote that fitted the bill. A deadline set, a one third deposit paid and we were underway. Seems like Moebius rules at the moment . . . a larger shot of the final ring – click here.

Commission © Bh- Engagement ring for Michael Tyler. Moebius style band has low bezel set pink Spinel cushion cut 1=0.82ct. 9ct palladium white gold with matt and burnished finish. Size M

Michael Eather has been making his art for over 30 years now and we once shared the same dealer – Michael Milburn so we have been mates since then. His own gallery – Fireworks Gallery shows a miriad of indigenous and non-indigenous artists side by side with a spread of senior to emerging artists from all over Australia.
We are always excited when a piece goes to a good place, person or collection, in this case it goes to all three and what’s more Michael ‘gets it’ . . . these ‘Tinsmithed objects” were covered in Inside-Outside magazine at the time of the first Artisan show, for those new readers here are the two downloadable pages – one – two. I’ll post a smaller pic of page two , below.

I’ve just withheld the names, this was a gift that just didn’t click in the first place. It sat until “J” made the huge effort to bring it back to the studio and discuss changes that have gone swimingly this time. We only ever want customers 110% happy . . . and approach commissions and relationships with a huge degree of active listening and support. It can’t be any other way . . .
“Hello Barb,
I hope you and Mal are well. My beautiful necklace arrived safely! It is everything that I wanted and sits perfectly. I am really happy with it. Thank you for spending time on this and for being so understanding.
Kind regards,
J “
