Yes Liz, you made your request in the comments section which bounces back to the web authors. An email response with a further pic, a plan to make another 9ct yellow gold textured link, a quote, a confirmation, a job bag and we are ready to dispatch tomorrow to Liz Huckerby in Wellington, New Zealand. Another internet commission, yeah!
An email from a New Zealand customer to be – “Help Barbara, I love your symbol bracelets and would like to talk about getting one made for me, but I can’t find anywhere on the blog to write a request for commissions – or maybe this is it? Kind regards, Liz. Wednesday, Jun 9 2010

Such beautiful photography of such a gorgeous piece! You know I am going to have to commission Barbara at some point… You do know that Mal, don’t you?…
yes . . . so don’t beat around the bush, the garden studio awaits.
That dinner date keeps escaping us all so we should just do it, you can see the studio at the same time.
Dear Barbara and Malcolm
Thanks so much for the bracelet – its perfect and just what I wanted.
I think I mentioned to you that I first saw a similar piece worn by a colleague a couple of months ago when I was working in Melbourne for a week. Val had got it from Makers Mark. I hardly ever wear jewelry but this bracelet was something special. I love mixed metals and the heavy feel of it and its rather industrial feel. Thank fully I had planned to stay in Melbourne for another day to shop so as soon as our work was over, I walked down to Makers Mark and found a bracelet of yours – but found it too small – darn it. So the helpful people at makers Mark suggested I look on your website. I was really excited to find I could get something made and even nicer to find you based in Brisbane, where coincidently we were planning to stay with friends.
I’m not a person to save things for special occasions – so this will be worn by me every day. A reminder of my hard work this year and a better use of my $$ than just paying the bills. It will also remind me of Val who enjoyed meeting and working with and of our trip to Brisbane to meet with you and to have a rather special holiday – celebrating John’s return to almost full health after a scary time in hospital earlier in the year.
We will look up Barbs work again when we are next in New Plymouth – you must plan to visit the Govett Brewster Gallery – it’s worth a visit as is New Plymouth.
Kind thoughts
Liz
